The Baku Book Center on Nov. 9 hosted a meeting with famous Indian yogi, mystic and New York Times bestselling author Sadhguru and presentation of his book "Inner Engineering".
The event was attended by Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.
Welcoming the distinguished guest, Gunel Rzayeva, Director of the Baku Book Center, said that Sadhguru is ranked amongst the fifty most influential people in India. He is a yogi, mystic, visionary and a New York Times bestselling author. Sadhguru has been conferred the "Padma Vibhushan" by the Government of India in 2017, the highest annual civilian awards, accorded for exceptional and distinguished service.
Speaking to the audience, Sadhguru spoke about the methods of wise control over the body, emotions, and inner energy of a human being. Then Sadhguru answered questions from the audience.
The famous Indian yogi noted that the main source of human suffering is his memory and rich imagination. “If a person finds harmony with himself, he will find happiness,” said Sadhguru.
He emphasized that people usually become victims of their own mind and perception. “Enjoying life, the ability to see the positive side in everything is the best way to protect yourself from external influences,” said Sadhguru.
The meeting participants asked the well-known mystic questions about the philosophy of yoga, about proper nutrition, dreams, lifestyle, feelings of fear, despair and anxiety.
At the end of the event, Sadhguru signed his books and left warm messages at the Guest Book of the Baku Book Center.
