The Baku Book Center on Jan. 25 hosted presentation of the book titled “Life Formula. A book about dad and mom" by First Deputy Director General of Russia’s TASS Information Agency Mikhail Gusman.
Opening the event, the Director of the Baku Book Center Gunel Rzayeva congratulated Mikhail Gusman on his 70th birthday and said that his book is a tribute to parents and a good example of a high level of cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia.
Talking about his book, Mikhail Gusman called it a symbol of fidelity to parents and hometown.
Israeli politician, journalist Joseph Shagal, editor-in-chief of the “Vechernaya Moskva” newspaper Alexander Kupriyanov, rector of the Uzeyir Hajibayli Baku Music Academy Farhad Badalbeyli, famous artist Vadim Huseynov, Russian scientist and historian Yefim Pivovar, Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu, public and political figure, director Juli Gusman, artist, sculptor Fuad Salayev, poet Alexandr Gorodnitsky talked about the book, said many kind words to the author. At the end of the Mikhail Gusman presented his books to the guests.
Released by “Terra” publishing house, “Life Formula. A book about dad and mom" book is dedicated to the memory of Mikhail Gusman’s parents - Solomon Moiseyevich Gusman and Lola Yulievna Barsuk. The book highlights an insightful story of Mikhail Gusman about his parents, family, years of life in his native city of Baku and memoirs of contemporaries, scientists and cultural figures, as well as friends and colleagues of Solomon Moiseyevich and Lola Yulievna. The book is illustrated with many photographs and documents from Gusman family archive, TASS and AZƏRTAC.
