English and Russian editions of "History of the Patriotic War. Restoration of the Territorial Integrity of Azerbaijan – a Personal Factor" books launched at Baku Book Center

The English and Russian editions of the book "History of the Patriotic War. Restoration of the Territorial Integrity of Azerbaijan – a Personal Factor" were launched at the Baku Book Center on December 22. This book is a joint project of the Baku City Executive Authority and the Institute of History of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Director of the Baku Book Center Gunel Anargizi shared her impressions of the book and spoke about its significance. Elmin Imanov, Head of the Executive Authority Department, emphasized that the glorious Victory, as well as the extensive work carried out in the country in the following years, were made possible by the wisdom, leadership, and unwavering will of President Ilham Aliyev. Professor Kerim Shukurov, Director of the Bakikhanov Institute of History, noted that the second book, a continuation of the first edition dedicated to the 44-day Patriotic War and translated into 11 languages, covers the most important historical events of the post-war period in Azerbaijan. War veteran Shamsaddin Gurbanov, student at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics Davud Sheydayev, and other speakers emphasized that this publication will play an important role in conveying the realities of the war and the achievements of the post-war period to international audiences. Speaking on behalf of Azerbaijani students studying abroad, student Eldar Azizov noted that young people studying abroad always feel the support of President Ilham Aliyev. Both editions will be presented in various countries, including the former Soviet Union and Eastern European countries, and will also be distributed to higher education institutions, libraries, and leading media outlets worldwide, as was the case with the first edition. This will provide English- and Russian-speaking foreign audiences with more comprehensive information about the reconstruction work carried out in Azerbaijan following the Second Karabakh War.
