A presentation of the books National Savior and On the Way to a Great Dream by Azerbaijani writer Gular Joshgunsoy, who resides in Turkey, was held at the Baku Book Center on December 16. The event opened with a moment of silence in honor of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. This was followed by the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.The evening was hosted by Dilbar Joshgunsoy, who provided a brief overview of the author’s creative work and the presented books. The author then spoke about the motivation behind writing the works, as well as their themes and content. Guests in attendance shared their reflections and impressions of the books. The event concluded with a book-signing session by the author and the taking of commemorative photographs. National Savior is the writer’s first major work, comprising a poem and a play that portray the history of Azerbaijani statehood and the extensive activities of President Ilham Aliyev. On the Way to a Great Dream is a poem dedicated to the National Heroes of Azerbaijan and General Polad Hashimov.
