On April 20, the Baku Book Center hosted the presentation of "Leonid Weinstein: A Memory Book," a tribute to the life and work of the celebrated Azerbaijani composer, educator, and honored artist, Leonid Weinstein. The book, compiled and initiated by Timur Weinstein, a member of the iconic KVN team "Guys from Baku," offers a heartfelt recollection of the late composer’s contributions to music and culture. The event was attended by a wide range of notable figures, including members of the intelligentsia, public personalities, and friends and family of Weinstein. Among those in attendance were Mikhail Gusman, First Deputy Director General of Russia's TASS News Agency, and film director and public figure Yuli Gusman, who both shared personal reflections on their memories of the composer. Notably, People's Artist of Azerbaijan Yalchin Adygezalov, who conducted the performance of Leonid Weinstein's opera "Cinderella" at the Heydar Aliyev Palace on April 19, praised the book’s connection to the famous fairy tale, which left a lasting impression on all those in attendance. At the close of the presentation, Timur Weinstein expressed his gratitude to the guests for their support and took the time to personally sign copies of the book for those in attendance.
