Baku Book Center hosts music and poetry event in celebration of Women's Day

A captivating evening of music and poetry took place on March 7 at the Baku Book Center, featuring talented musicians. The event's program seamlessly combined poetry with the compositions of renowned Azerbaijani and European composers, including Gara Garayev, Tofig Guliyev, and Vagif Mustafazadeh. The concert showcased participants from the "Youth support" project of the Muslim Magomayev Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall, including soloists from the Fikret Amirov Song and Dance Ensemble, as well as young pianists, and vocalists. The evening was made even more memorable by performances from the Jahangir Jahangirov Choir, pianists Nargiz Aliyeva and Vusal Aydemirov, as well as reciter Huseynagha Aslanov. To conclude the event, guests were presented with a heartfelt new song dedicated to the late Okuma Aliyeva, a senior flight attendant and National Hero, who tragically lost her life in a plane crash in Aktau.
