“Regional Development” Public Association and the Baku Book Center on December 23 hosted the event to introduce a new book titled "History of the Patriotic War: Restoration of Azerbaijan’s Territorial Integrity – The Personality Factor". The publication serves as a continuation of the previous book on the 44-day Patriotic War and delves into the significant events that transpired in Azerbaijan during the post-war period.
Volunteers from the “Regional Development” Public Association, youth activists, war veterans, and public figures gathered to honor the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the heroes who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s liberation and territorial integrity with a moment of silence. Following this, a video highlighting the creation of the book was shown.
Director of the Baku Book Center Gunel Anargizi welcomed the attendees and shared her thoughts on the book: “Any great phenomenon becomes fully visible only from a distance. The depth and significance of President Ilham Aliyev’s visionary policies become clearer over time. This book provides a valuable perspective on understanding the far-sighted leadership of our President.”
Aytaj Ajdarli, a representative of the “Regional Development” Public Association, Gadir Dashdemirov, a veteran of the Patriotic War, Nazrin Huseynova, an active youth representative, and others spoke at the event. They emphasized the importance of the new publication in studying Azerbaijani history, analyzing the victory and achievements in the post-war period, and ensuring these narratives are accurately conveyed to future generations. The event concluded with a small concert.
