Baku Book Center hosts seminar on financial literacy as part of

The Baku Book Center hosted a seminar titled "How to Spend Money Wisely," part of the ongoing "YüksƏL" project. While the importance of money is widely acknowledged, with many viewing the pursuit of wealth as a primary life goal, experts argue that money is only valuable when spent wisely. But do we truly know how to manage our finances effectively?
On September 26, economist and entrepreneur Gafar Demirchi addressed this question during the seminar, attended by students from Baku State University, the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, and the Baku Music Academy, as well as representatives from the Youth Development and Career Center under the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation.
During his talk, Demirchi stated, "Poverty is not merely a financial issue; it is rooted in attitude, laziness, and irresponsibility." He emphasized the need for individuals to forecast their income and expenses and to maintain accurate financial records. Demirchi further highlighted that financial literacy is essential for everyone, as we all save money, invest, take out loans, and create budgets based on our income. At the conclusion of the seminar, Demirchi answered numerous questions from attendees, and each participant received a book as a takeaway.
This seminar was organized as part of the fifth phase of the “YüksƏL” project, titled “Payız seminarları” (“Autumn Seminars”), with support from the Baku City Executive Authority.
