"A Grammar of Contemporary Azerbaijani" Book Unveiled at Baku Book Center

On September 20, the Baku Book Center hosted the launch ceremony for "A Grammar of Contemporary Azerbaijani," authored by Zhale Garibova, Vice-Rector for International Relations at Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), and Sabina Aliyeva, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Azerbaijani Linguistics at AUL. The publication received support from the State Committee for Work with Diaspora.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation; Arzu Aliyeva, Head of the Baku Media Center; as well as notable scientists, cultural figures, and public personalities from Azerbaijan.
During their speeches, the authors highlighted the book's significance for foreigners wishing to learn Azerbaijani. Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, along with Kamal Abdulla, the book's editor and rector of AUL; Rafael Huseynov, Director of the Nizami Ganjavi Museum of Azerbaijan Literature; and Sevinj Aliyeva, Director of the Monitoring Center under the State Language Commission, all congratulated the authors and underscored the importance of such resources for language learners.
The event concluded with performances by international competition laureate Islama Abdullayeva and pianist Fagan Hasanli, who presented Fikret Amirov's song.
