The Baku Book Center on December 26 hosted a charity event on the occasion of the New Year and the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis. The event was co-organized by the Children and Youth Development Center No. 2 under the Baku Department of Education. Pupils of Mardakan boarding school No. 2 and Special boarding school No. 3 for children with disabilities were present at the event. Participants of the Children and Youth Development Center performed an interesting program titled “New Year’s Miracle.” Colorful scenes, dances of various peoples living in our country, as well as fairy-tale characters performed by young actors were welcomed by the audience. The event also featured exhibition of drawings and crafts made by participants of the Children and Youth Development Center. At the end of the event gifts were given to children on behalf of the Baku Book Center and the Children and Youth Development Center No. 2.

A documentary "Azerbaijani Erivan" was shown at the Baku Book Center on April 19. The event was organized with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The film was created as part of the Fortis Films project by Fortis Construction company.
