The Baku Book Center on December 4 hosted a meeting with Richardas Lapaitis, the Lithuanian military journalist-photographer, co-author of the film “Endless Corridor” dedicated to the Khojaly genocide. Richardas Lapaitis became a friend to many people in Azerbaijan, even those who never met him in person. A Lithuanian journalist and photojournalist, who was on the front line in Karabakh in the early 90s and witnessed injustice and cruelty towards the Azerbaijani population of the region, tried to convey his experience to the world.
During a meeting hosted by poetess Narmina Mammadzade, Richardas Lapaitis spoke about the Armenian atrocities that he witnessed in February 1992. He emphasized that the previous leadership of Armenia who committed the genocide of innocent people, has still not been brought to justice. The journalist said that the far-sighted policy of the Azerbaijani leadership put an end to the almost 30-year history of occupation. In conclusion, Lapaitis answered questions from the guests.
