The Azerbaijani composers’ sheet music books published by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation were launched at the Baku Book Center on November 2. Sheet music books were published as part of the “Əbədi imzalar” ("Eternal Signatures") project on the initiative of the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.
The presented books include symphonic, chamber-instrumental, vocal, piano, as well as solo and choral works for various instruments by six outstanding Azerbaijani composers - Asaf Zeynalli, Jovdat Hajiyev, Fikret Amirov, Gara Garayev, Niyazi and Vasif Adigezalov.
Director of the Baku Book Center Gunel Rzayeva, Deputy Minister of Culture Murad Huseynov, Chairman of the Union of Composers Firangiz Alizade, rector of the Music Academy Farhad Badalbeyli, conductor Yalchin Adigezalov, composer Vugar Jamalzade highly appreciated the books and talked about the importance of such projects in promoting the bright heritage of Azerbaijani composers.
A documentary about the project was shown at the event. Musicians from the Azerbaijan State Choir of the Muslim Magomayev Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall, as well as the Gara Garayev Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra performed vocal and instrumental works by Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Asaf Zeynalli, Gara Garayev, Fikret Amirov, Niyazi and Vasif Adigezalov.
