The Baku Book Center on June 22 hosted a launching ceremony of the book titled "The stroke of a master on the score of life" by music critic Taira Kerimova. The book is dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding Azerbaijani composer Fikret Amirov. Speaking at the event, Advisor to the Minister of Culture Jahangir Selimkhanov, Rector of the Baku Musical Academy Farhad Badalbeyli, Honored Art Worker Zumrud Dadashzade, ANAS Corresponding Member Rena Sarabskaya, Director of the local TV channel “Mədəniyyət” Ulviya Kenul and others dwelled on the rich musical heritage of Fikret Amirov and expressed confidence that the book will make a great contribution to Azerbaijani musicology. Fikret Amirov’s son, famous jazz musician Jamil Amirov, thanked the author of the book and the participants of the event. At the end, Taira Kerimova signed her books for the guests.
