The Baku Book Center on November 11 hosted a presentation of the Azerbaijani edition of the book "The Walk" by famous Swiss writer Robert Walser. The event took place on the initiative of the "Friends of Azerbaijan" Association operating in Basel (Switzerland). “The Walk” is one of the most famous works of Robert Walser. A pseudo-biographical "stroll" through town and countryside rife with philosophic musings, “The Walk” has been hailed as the masterpiece of Walser's short prose. Director of the Baku Book Center Gunel Rzayeva, chairman of the "Friends of Azerbaijan" Association Arzu Aliyeva, head of “Alatoran” publishing house, poet Rasim Garaja addressing the book launch event stressed the importance of organizing cultural events between Switzerland and Azerbaijan. Our special guest Reto Sorg, Managing Director at Robert Walser Foundation (Bern) spoke about the life and work of the writer and answered the questions.
