A novel by the historian, linguist Azer Ziyadli "Stars on the palms" was launched on April 28 at the Baku Book Center as part of the project “Uzaq yaxın bizimkilər”.
The book reveals the events occurred in the 4th century BC in the region and the emergence of the state of Atropatena and its founder Atropates.
Speaking about the work on the book, Azer Ziyadli said that despite the fact that many of the characters in the book are historical figures, and the plot is based on real events, "Stars on the palms" is primarily a novel, not a scientific work. Doctor of Historical Sciences Hasan Hasanov said that Azer Ziyadli's book is very important for the increasing the interest of young people in the historical past of Azerbaijan. The writer Samit Aliyev highly appreciated the work of Azer Ziyadli. Then the author answered the questions from the audience and signed his books for the guests. All the royalties from sale of the book will be donated to the families of veterans and martyrs of the Karabakh war.
