The Baku Book Center on March 12 hosted a presentation of the book titled “The City of Winds” by Estonian writer and public figure Kersti Kiviruut. The book is dedicated to Baku. Kersti Kiviruut calls her book an adventure novel, which was inspired by her love for Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the presentation, First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora Valeh Hajiyev, poet and translator Salim Babullaoglu, editor-in-chief of "525-ci qəzet" Rashad Majid and others spoke about the book.
Kirsty Kiviruut spoke about the work on the novel, her trips to Azerbaijan and various projects implemented jointly with her Azerbaijani colleagues and friends.
The guests listened to excerpts from the novel “The City of Winds” performed by the author and Estonian radio host of Azerbaijani origin Senam Aliyeva.
At the end of the event, guests were presented with books. The plot of the novel in the genre of adventure and detective genre is based on dramatic events. The book also reflected the love story of an Azerbaijani athlete named Rufat and Estonian girl Aneliis.
