The Baku Book Center on Feb. 24 together with the participants of "Gənclərə dəstək" project of the Muslim Magomayev Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall held a literary and musical evening "Xocalı harayı", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy. Director of the Baku Book Center Gunel Rzayeva, as well as veterans of the 44-day Patriotic War Khankishi Yusifov and Javid Hasanov, who spoke at the evening, said that the Khojaly genocide has become one of the worst crimes in the history of mankind. The evening featured soloist of the Gara Garayev Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra Rovshan Amrakhov, Honored Artist Nargiz Aliyeva, laureates of national and international competitions Vagif Gurbanov, Jamala Abdinzade, Aziza Agazade, Khadija Hajili, Sabina Hasanzade and other musicians. Actors Huseynaga Aslanov and Khazar Suleymanli read famous poems by national poets Rasul Rza, Ramiz Rovshan, Nabi Khazri and Nurangiz Gyun.
