The Baku Book center on December 24 hosted a photo-poetry evening. During the event, hosted by actor Oleg Amirbekov, participants read poems of Azerbaijani and foreign poets, accompanied by lyric musical compositions performed by pianist Vusal Aydyamirov and presentation of photographs by various authors.
Selected works of world classics were performed by actress Ludmila Dukhovnaya, actor Yaroslav Trifonov, poets Shakhrun Suleymanova, Javid Imamverdiev, Saida Subkhi, Naila Balakishieva, Zakhra Badalbeyli, Ulviya Akhundova, Atiga Alieva and Adilya Efedendi.
At the end of the evening, the veteran of the Second Karabakh War, opera singer Atesh Garayev performed the song "Azerbaijan" to the accompaniment of pianist Saida Tagizade.
The idea of the event was inspired by the table calendar for 2022 published by the Baku Book Center. The calendar includes photographs made by director of the Magsud Ibragimbekov Creativity Center Anna Ibragimbekova and the three-line poems by poet Leila Beyim.
