"The Voice of War" book unveiled at Baku Book Center

The Baku Book Center on Dec. 10 hosted a presentation of the book “The Voice of War” by laureate of the Golden Pen award, writer Narmina Mammadzadeh. The book was published in three languages as part of “The interview that was not made” project and includes more than 50 essays – interviews dedicated to the memory of the heroes of the 44-day Karabakh war.
The essays are based on real events. In each essay, the author speaks to the spirit of one deceased soldier. From their talk, we learn about the fallen soldier, about his childhood, loved ones, friends, family, hobbies, dreams and aspirations. The author talks to each soldier as if he were alive.
During the presentation, the author spoke about the work on the book.
The speeches by the director of the Baku Book Center Gunel Rzayeva, the poetess Shakhrun Suleimanli, the writer Nailya Balakishieva, as well as the musicians Murad Huseynov and Javid Mammadov and members of the families of soldiers, were dedicated to their eternal memory. All proceeds from the sale of the book will be directed to the Yaşat fund.
