The Baku Book Center on Jan. 16 hosted presentation of the book by young poet Javid Shahbazbekov “Mən Azərbaycanlıyam” (“I am Azerbaijanian”). The book includes poems dedicated to Azerbaijan as well as lyrics.
Greeting the guests, Gunel Rzayeva, Director of the Baku Book Center, noted that love for the homeland is the main theme of J. Shahbazbekov’s poems.
The host of the evening, Said Mammadov, read fragments from documents related to the creation of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.
The actors of the Azerbaijan State Theater of the Young Spectator read poems by J. Shahbazbekov. Actors of the Azerbaijan State Theater of Pantomime and Oyug drama studio of the Azerbaijan State Puppet Theater, showed sketches based on his poems.
At the end of the evening, J. Shahbazbekov thanked all those who had assisted in organizing the event and signed his books for readers.
