“Cry” book presented at Baku Book Center

Presentation of "Cry" book, which includes "Karabakh stories" by the writer Gunel Anargizi and the poem "Weeping for Karabakh" by the poet Leyla Begim in English language was held Feb. 26 at Baku Book Center.

 

Speaking about the project, Director of the Center Gunel Anargizi stressed that the presentation of the collection is devoted to the 27th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy. She also noted that since 2013, this project has been implemented in various countries of the world.

 

The co-author of the collection, poet Leyla Begim, in her speech, said that the main goal of this project is bringing the truth about the Azerbaijani-Armenian Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Armenian aggression to the world community. The head of the modernization department of BP Azerbaijan, Rashad Bayramov, and Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey Business Development advisor Ayla Azizova performed the stories of Gunel Anargizi “A letter to dad” and an excerpt from the poem of Leyla Begim “Weeping for Karabakh” in English.

 

Speaking at the event, People’s writer Anar, Director of the Maksud Ibragimbekov Center Anna Ibragimbekova, People's artists, actors Fakhraddin Manafov, Mehriban Zyaki, Shukyufa Yusupova, Vagif Asadov, Honored Artist Nargiz Jalilova, project participant, ASAN Radio Director Emin Musavi spoke about the project and highly valued the work of the authors. At the end of the evening, the winners of international competitions, pianist Vusal Aydamirov and tar player Ibrahim Babayev performed their new composition Karabakh. Proceeds from the sale of books will be spent for charity.
