Baku Book Center on Feb. 28 hosted presentation of the books by People’s writer Maksud Ibrahimbekov in Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages. The event was organized in Baku Book Center jointly with the support of Maksud Ibragimbekov Center. The preface to the book was written by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.
 
Welcoming the guests, director of the Baku Book Center Gunel Rzayeva said that, despite the fact that M. Ibragimbekov wrote his works in Russian, he is a deeply national writer. Director of the Maksud Ibragimbekov Center, Anna Ibragimbekova, presented a video about the Center to the audience.
 
Then the journalist Nadejda Ismaylova, people's writer Anar, doctor of philology, professor Farida Safiyeva, people's artist of the USSR, pianist Farhad Badalbeyli, artist Orkhan Garayev shared their memories of the writer. The students of the University of Culture and Arts under the guidance of Professor Farida Safiyeva performed a stage based on the story by Maksud Ibragimbekov “Let him stay with us”.
 
The guests were also shown illustrations to the book created by the artist Orkhan Garayev. Rector of the Music Academy Farhad Badalbeyli, as well as pianist Vusal Aydamirov and tar player Ibrahim Babayev performed lyrical compositions. All proceeds from the sale of the books will go to NARGIS FUND.
