A well-known Turkish scholar, historian, professor Ilber Ortayly invited to Azerbaijan by the Turkish Embassy and the public association “Business People and Industrialists of Turkey and Azerbaijan” on Apr. 15 became the guest of the Baku Book Center.
Hundreds of his fans gathered at the Baku Book Center to sign his new book, “The Golden Age of Turks.” The book tells about the magnificent stage in the history of the Turks, who left a mark on world culture, art, literature and medicine.
The book, translated into Azerbaijani, features such chapters as “Turks and History”, “Emir Timur and Timurids”, “The State of the Golden Horde”, “Crimean Khanate”, “Turks on Roman Land” and others.
