Opening of the exhibition “My way passes through Karabakh” and the presentation of the catalog took place at the Baku Book Center.
 
The exhibition features about 40 works created by students of the My Way Center for Children and Youth (New York) and dedicated to the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, its rich cultural heritage and unique nature.
 
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, public figures and mass media representatives.
 
Opening the event, Director of the Baku Book Center Gunel Rzayeva spoke about the idea of creating the exhibition and expressed gratitude to everyone who took an active part in this important project.
 
TV presenter Jeyhun Ali introduced Alyona Badalova, founder, president and director of the New York based “My Way” Child and Youth Development Center. In her speech, Alyona Badalova said that American children who had never been to Azerbaijan collected information about Karabakh from various sources and reflected the culture and the majestic nature of Karabakh in their drawings.
 
People’s Writer Anar, People’s Artist of the USSR Farhad Badalbeyli, People’s Artist Agali Ibrahimov stressed the importance of the exhibition. They talked about the occupation of Shusha, the pearl of Karabakh, one of the unique cultural centers of Azerbaijan.
 
 During the event, the winners and laureates of the Simurg Children's Music Festival and students of the Bulbul Music School performed works by classics of world and Azerbaijani music.
