The Baku Book Center hosted interesting lectures on October 1 as part of the Nasimi Poetry, Art and Spirituality Festival, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan.
The audience listened to a talk by Italian poet and playwright David Rondoni on the theme “Parallels to Nasimi: notes of an Italian poet on Nasimi”, as well as “Parallels to Nasimi: imperfection of existence (v. Lutfi A. Zade)”, a talk by British philosopher and artist Zeigam Azizov.
The event also featured “Content and contexts – discussion on Nasimi ghazals. Poet Haji Arif Buzovnaly, literary critic Saadat Shikhiyeva, secretary of the Union of Writers of Azerbaijan Ilgar Fahmi, as well as famous literary scholars and readers held discussions on various approaches to the interpretation of the selected Nasimi ghazals.
