A book entitled “Pregnancy week by week” by teachers of the Azerbaijan Medical University was unveiled at the Baku Book Center as part of the activities of the Pregnancy Development Portal (“Hamiləlikdə İnkişaf Portalı”). The book was published with the support of the "Regional Development" Public Association.
 
The representative of "Regional Development" Public Association Ulviyya Akbarova spoke about the goals, objectives, advantages and innovations of the portal. She said that up to date the portal has conducted various sessions, psychological consultations and trainings in order to increase awareness of pregnant women and will continue such activities in the future.
 
Director of the Surgical Clinic of the AMU, Professor Surkhay Khadiev stressed the importance of the portal and the book for raising of awareness among the future moms. The book is written in a simple language that is understandable to all women and has colorful graphic images. Both the portal and the book are also useful sources of information for doctors, students, and young families.
 
A HIP Card developed by the portal was also launched at the event. This card, intended for use by www.hip.az, as well as iOS and Android operating systems, will allow its owners to use the services of partner organizations for free or on a preferential basis.
