Famous Baku city researcher Fuad Akhundov on November 21 held a workshop as part of the “YÜKSƏL” education project. The workshop on the theme “Baku at the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century” targeted students – historians and architects and was dedicated to the history of Baku during the first oil boom.
Fuad Akhundov spoke about the multifaceted appearance of Baku at the turn of the two centuries, outstanding architects who made a huge contribution into the development of the Azerbaijani capital, the great contribution of Azerbaijani philanthropists to the development of the city, the subtleties of the architectural styles of Baku.
Students of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, the History department attended the lecture. They were presented with books recommended by the speaker for reading and discussion at the next events within the project.
