The YÜKSƏL project for students and youth, initiated by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Baku Book Center is implemented with financial support from BP, was officially launched on January 15. 
 
The event was attended by students from the University and ADA and ADA School, Azerbaijan University of Languages, Bir” Student Volunteer Program, created on the initiative of the Ministry of Education, representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and BP Azerbaijan.
 
Addressing the event participants, the Director of Baku Book Center Gunel Rzayeva said that a year project YÜKSƏL is aimed at helping students and young people realize their professional dreams and develop individual qualities. The main idea of the project is to encourage young people to achieve great results in different areas.
 
Gunel Rzayeva also expressed deep gratitude to the leadership of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and BP Azerbaijan for supporting this project.
 
Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli, BP Vice President for Communications, External Affairs and Strategy in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, in his speech expressed confidence that the project will contribute to increasing youth interest in reading.
 
The event continued with a seminar in the framework of the YÜKSƏL project on the topic "Choosing a career" by child and adolescent psychiatrist Orkhan Isgenderov. During the seminar, the presenter spoke about the main factors that should be taken into account when choosing a specialty, errors in the selection process, some statistical data, about the qualities necessary for work in the field of law, sports, medicine and other areas. 
 
Then the participants were presented with books recommended by the presenter.
 
As part of YÜKSƏL project specialists who have achieved great success in their field and can inspire young people with their example will conduct free-of-charge workshops at the Baku Book Center every week. During the workshops, the lecturers provide young people with practical advice and share information on how to expand world outlook and develop certain skills. As part of the project, the books recommended by lecturers are also presented to students.
