Meetings with creative personalities at the Baku Book Center tend to unfold in the blink of an eye, with time passing unnoticed. Today’s gathering with Anna Ibragimbekova, director of the Magsud Ibragimbekov Creativity Center, was no exception. The event was organized by Nazrin Mirzoyeva, founder of the Cult Baku club, and opened by Gunel Rzayeva, director of the Baku Book Center.
Over forty years ago, Anna Ibragimbekova's life became intertwined with that of the renowned Azerbaijani writer Magsud Ibragimbekov. During the event, Anna shared the story of their love, as well as insights into her parents, family, her time working at the House of Models in Moscow, her passion for photography, and the diverse activities of the Magsud Ibragimbekov Creativity Center.
The audience enjoyed a documentary film, Pros and Cons, which focused on the Moscow House of Models (1976), as well as a video about the Magsud Ibragimbekov Creativity Center and rare photographs from the Ibragimbekov family’s personal archive. The evening concluded with an engaging conversation with the audience. As a token of appreciation, all guests were given calendars featuring Anna Ibragimbekova’s photographs.
