The Baku Book Center on November 27 hosted a presentation of the book “Irevan: Historical Facts and Personalities” by PhD in Philology, Prof. Farida Safiyeva. The book, published with the assistance of the Agency for State Support to NGOs, tells about the events that took place in Irevan in the last century during the deportation of Azerbaijanis, as well as about the outstanding personalities of this city.
Publicist Telli Panahgizi, director of the Baku Book Center Gunel Rzayeva, corresponding member of ANAS, Doctor of Sciences in Physics and Mathematics Misir Mardanov, Doctor History, Prof. Dilara Seyidzade, rector of Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, Prof. Jeyran Mahmudova, political and state figure, doctor history, prof. Hasan Hasanov, head of the Western Azerbaijan department of the Institute of History and Ethnology of ANAS, PhD in history Jabi Bahramov, head of the international relations department of the Ataturk Center Nazir Ahmedli and others in their speeches noted that the book is a valuable research work that tells in detail about the rich history of Irevan, its centuries-old cultural heritage and the outstanding personalities who were formed in this city.
At the end of the evening, the author of the book, Farida Safieva, expressed gratitude to all those present and to the management of the Baku Book Center for organizing the presentation.
