“Intercultural Dialogue: Humanistic Values” book unveiled at Baku Book Center

The Baku Book Center kicked off a new season of literary events on September 5 with the launch of “Intercultural Dialogue: Humanistic Values” book in Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages. The book features 11 short stories by young authors from Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Germany, Turkey, the Czech Republic, and the UK.
The book was published as a result of the literary competition “5 Pages about love,” organized by the international intellectual platform Smart Community, founded by Writers' Union members Sabina Zulalova and Ulviyya Akhundova. The collection also includes works by renowned Azerbaijani artists.
During the event, Ulviyya Akhundova and Sabina Zulalova spoke about the project, blogger Natella Karimova, actor and screenwriter Azer Aydemir, and writers Leyla Begim and Anara Akhundova read selections from the anthology. Director of the Baku Book Center Gunel Anargizi, national writers Chingiz Abdullayev and Natig Rasulzade, director of the publishing house "Çaşıoğlu” Rahila Soltangizi wished all participants success and emphasized the project’s role in discovering young talents. A video message from the youngest participant, Maryam Ismayilova, was also presented during the event
