The Baku Book Center on April 19 hosted an evening dedicated to the life and legacy of the famous screenwriter, people's writer of Azerbaijan Rustam Ibragimbekov. The evening featured a documentary about Rustam Ibragimbekov. People's writer Anar, rector of the Baku Music Academy, people's artist Farkhad Badalbeyli, people's artist Farkhad Khalilov, people's poet Ramiz Rovshan, director of the Baku Book Center Gunel Anargizi, director of music school No. 12 named after Tofig Kuliyev G. Safarova, writer and screenwriter Ismail Imanov shared their memories of Rustam Ibragimbekov. Pianist Nizami Aliyev performed melodies from films based on scripts by Rustam Ibragimbekov. The evening also featured wonderful performances by Honored Artists of Azerbaijan Sevda Alekperzade and Sahib Pashazade, as well as Fatima Mehdiyeva, a 7th grade student of Music School No. 12 named after T. Guliyev.
The evening ended with the tango of the famous Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla "Oblivion" performed by the Chamber orchestra of the State Academic Philharmonic named after M. Magomayev. In conclusion, the children of the writer Fuad Ibragimbekov and Fatima Ibragimbekova thanked the organizers and guests of the evening on behalf of the family.
