Baku Book Center on Dec. 2 hosted meeting with Popular Azerbaijani actor, People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Fakhraddin Manafov.
Many fans of the famous actor came to the Baku Book Center on that day to meet their favorite actor at the event which is a part of “Reading with celebrity” project of the Baku Book Center.
Welcoming the guests, the actor expressed his gratitude to the Center for organizing the event.
During the event F.Manafov spoke about his childhood spent in his homeland in Karabakh, determination to become an actor and the art of professional acting which he describes as a meaning of his life.
The actor, best known for the role of Zaur in "Tahmina" movie based on a novel by national writer Anar and filmed by the people's artist of Azerbaijan Rasim Ojagov, noted that acquaintance with outstanding Azerbaijani director Rasim Ojagov was the starting point in his film career.
Manafov also spoke about the important contribution made by the talented and innovative theater director Vagif Ibrahimoglu to his professional life as well as about his work in the “Yukh”and “Ibrus” theaters.
Responding to questions from the audience, Fakhraddin Manafov spoke about the current state of Azerbaijani cinema, young talented actors, his favorite theatrical and film roles.
The famous actor emphasized that theater occupies a dominant place in his life. He added that he would like to play the roles of great historical figures of Azerbaijan, in particular, the role of the famous Azerbaijani millionaire and philanthropist, Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev.
