Baku Book Center on Dec.18 hosted a meeting with the famous French composer, clarinetist - innovator and writer Elios Azule. At the meeting, the composer presented his book “All is Music” (“Tout est musique”), demonstrated various ways of playing the clarinet and performed popular jazz melodies.
Elios Azule's musical creativity includes orchestral and chamber works, songs and jazz.
The popular French composer is also a researcher of music composed by prisoners of Nazi concentration camps, as well as the author of the “May 30, 1431” mono-opera, based on the unfinished opera of the Austrian and Czech composer of Jewish origin Victor Ullmann “Jeanne D’ark”. On December 20, this work will be presented for the first time in Baku, in the YARAT Contemporary Art Space.

On September 20, the Baku Book Center hosted the launch ceremony for "A Grammar of Contemporary Azerbaijani," authored by Zhale Garibova, Vice-Rector for International Relations at Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), and Sabina Aliyeva, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Azerbaijani Linguistics at AUL.
