The Baku Book Center on Jan. 29 as part of the “Facing history” project hosted presentation of the book by PhD in philology Farida Safieva “Bir ömrün iziylə”. The book is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of an outstanding scholar, academician, vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (1945—1950) Heydar Huseynov.

Speaking at the event, the author of the book, Professor Farida Safieva spoke about the tragic life and fruitful scientific activity of Heydar Huseynov, his contribution to Azerbaijani science and merits in the field of education.
 
The event also featured a video presentation, actors read fragments from Huseynov’s letters to his wife, as well as the memoirs of his daughter Sarah. 
 
The laureates of local and international contests, pianist Vusal Aydemirov and tar player Ibrahim Babayev also performed at the event.
 
The Deputy of the Milli Majlis, academician Nizami Jafarov, who spoke at the end of the event, highly appreciated the work of the author of the book.
 
The book by Farida Safiyeva "Bir ömrün iziylə" sheds light on many previously unknown facts from the life of Academician Heydar Huseynov. The book is based on rare archival photographs, documents, as well as memoirs of colleagues, students and family members of Huseynov.
