On January 31, Dean of the Law Faculty of the University of Lumière Lyon 2 (France) Guillaume Protiere delivered a speech at the Baku Book Center and presented his work.
 
Welcoming the guest, Mr. Johan Shitterer, Counselor of the French Embassy in Azerbaijan on Cooperation and Culture, said that such events contribute to the development of relations between the two countries in the field of culture and education.
 
Guillaume Protiere presented his research on the topic of territorial administration and political decentralization, spoke about the structure of local government, touched on issues of social pluralism, and also reviewed the article on virtual worlds included in the book “The Critical Order of the Law”.
 
The author noted that virtual worlds offer users certain freedoms, fundamental rights, but in virtual worlds it is impossible to create any kind of power.
 
Then the guest answered the questions of the audience.

On September 20, the Baku Book Center hosted the launch ceremony for "A Grammar of Contemporary Azerbaijani," authored by Zhale Garibova, Vice-Rector for International Relations at Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), and Sabina Aliyeva, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Azerbaijani Linguistics at AUL.
