The book titled “Commander” by Sharif Agayar was presented at the Baku Book Center on April 19. The book published with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and “Zafar” Public Association, is dedicated to the hero of the April battles, Lieutenant Colonel Raguf Orujov and is based on real events.
A short documentary film featuring military activities of Raguf Orujov, his successful reconnaissance operations on the Murov direction, as well as the memory of the heroes of the April battles, was shown at the event.
Then author of the book Sharif Agayar, deputies of the Milli Majlis Govhar Bakhshaliyeva, Ganira Pashayeva, Agil Abbas, Fazil Mustafa, editor of the book Ilham Tumas, writer Ajdar Ol, fighting comrade of Raguf Orujov Rasim Farshidov, journalist Elshan Aliyev told about the novel and also emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of war heroes.
In her closing remarks, Sevinj Alyzade, the spouse of Raguf Orujov, thanked the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Baku Book Center for their assistance in organizing the event.
