Well-known Russian TV journalist, TV host, columnist for the Russia-Culture TV channel Vladislav Flyarkovsky on May 1 held a meeting at the Baku Book Center.
 
Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Nargiz Jalilova and TV journalist Jeyhun Ali introduced the guest to the audience.
 
Vladislav Flyarkovsky, a professional journalist, winner of prestigious television awards, was born in Bashkortostan, but spent his childhood in Baku, and therefore he considers Baku his native city.
 
Flyarkovskiy started his speech by reading a passage devoted to Baku from his book “Autobiographika”. Then he spoke about the history of his family, his passion for photography, his favorite cities, including Baku and Jerusalem.
 
Answering the questions of the audience,  Flyarkovsky also spoke about the beginning of his television career, his work in the popular TV show of the 90-s “Vzglyad”, touched the problems of modern Russian television and shared his attitude towards social networks.
 
Speaking about the modern journalism, Flyarkovsky said that the invention of Internet depressed former journalistic practices. “One and a half million bloggers may not have exclusive information. Information passes from one to the other, simultaneously changing and turns into disinformation,” he said.
