The Baku Book Center on October 3 hosted the meeting with popular Turkish poet Tugrul Tanyol as part of the Conversation with Writer project. Adviser on culture and presentations of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan Irfan Chiftchi introduced the poet to the Azerbaijani readers.
During the meeting Tugrul Tanyol spoke about his work, held a discussion on the theme of classical Azerbaijani and Turkish literature, answered questions and read his poems of different years. Tugrul Tanyol was born in 1953 in Istanbul. He is an author of ten poetry collections and numerous essays on literature and a translator of foreign literature.
Meanwhile, Tugrul Tanyol became the winner of the IV Eurasian literary festival "LiFFt-2019" which has just ended up in Baku.

On September 20, the Baku Book Center hosted the launch ceremony for "A Grammar of Contemporary Azerbaijani," authored by Zhale Garibova, Vice-Rector for International Relations at Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), and Sabina Aliyeva, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Azerbaijani Linguistics at AUL.
