Popular Mexican writer David Toscana on Nov. 29 met with readers at the Baku Book Center. The meeting was organized jointly with the Embassy of Mexico as part of the cooperation between the Baku Book Center and international organizations and diplomatic missions.
The event with the participation of Mexican Ambassador to Azerbaijan Rodrigo Labardini was dedicated to David Toscana and his contribution to contemporary Mexican literature. The event was moderated by a young Mexican writer Carlos M-Castro, who introduced the writer and briefly talked about his work. David Toscana spoke about the reality and fiction in his work, interesting characters in his books and Cervantes’s novel “Don Quixote” book which inspired him to write.
The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan, and students.

A documentary "Azerbaijani Erivan" was shown at the Baku Book Center on April 19. The event was organized with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The film was created as part of the Fortis Films project by Fortis Construction company.
